Late in the day, I accidentally put a screw into my pex water pipe near the main in my home. My wife found a plumber through Google after checking out his reviews. He quoted me for a quick fix by installing a coupler. However, due to the hole's location and the lack of slack in the pipe, the plumber needed to extend the pipe, which required more work and time. The leak was expertly repaired, and he never asked for extra payment. Given the late hour, the additional effort, and his professionalism, we felt it was only fair to pay him more for his excellent service.
